The First Day :
We started our day by 9 am. All of us were pretty excited to see the beauty of nature. As we finished our breakfast in madikeri, we headed towards Abbey falls.

We reached here by 11 am. Before we made any plans of getting into water, the locals told us not to get in water as it is too deep and has claimed many lives which made our excitement to decrease a little. As we walked towards the fall, the sight was amazing and we were thrilled to see the water falling with great force. We spent some time looking at that and taking photos but there was something missing. Then we thought whatever happens we are getting in the water even if there is a board which says "Do not get in to the water" as we all know "Rules are meant to be broken" :) so we plunged into water reached the point where the water falls. It was around 20 min in the water, policemen started to shout at us and we had to finally come out. Later we took some more photos and got back.
Our next destination was Talakaveri. We were very hungry as it was 1 pm so we stopped at Bhagamandala. We could hardly find any hotel but luckily found some. The hotel we went in served us the local dish out there which was mouth watering, we hogged nicely.

From there it was around 7 km to Talakaveri, while going we had spectacular view of nature. As we were getting closer to talakaveri, vehicle was totally covered by clouds so driver had a tough time. The driver was skilled to drive in these condition so we had no fear and reached safely.

After we got down we were stunned by the view which was like, as if we have stepped in HEAVEN. In these thick clouds with a light drizzling made us go crazy. We went to the temple where Kaveri originates which is basically a small opening, it's a pure water. When we took a look from the corridor we could only see the clouds which totally covered the entire mountain. Later we had to climb a little more to reach the tip of the mountain. It was lush green sight with milky white clouds covered. We took lot of snaps in different poses and stayed there for couple of hours. In this chill climate we all had hot coffee and crispy hot pakoda.
Later we decided to get back to room. It was 7 when we reached there, we relaxed and got freshn up. Then we visited Omkareshwar Temple in madikeri which was built in manglore style. With this, we ended our day.
The Second day :
After a great day we became more eager to visit some more places, the first place we went was Dubare Forest where the Elephants for the famous Mysore Dassehra are trained. We reached here by 11 am. You can also give them a bath too which is really fun to do or see them playing football, volleyball or take a ride through jungle. Before this you have to cross river where you can find motor boats which charge you 25 Rs per person(to and fro). Water here is great so played in water for sometime and relaxed. If you are a adventorous freak then the best thing you can find here is Rafting which they charge you around 125 per person. This not only includes you to put your strengths in rowing but you can also jump into water and relax. This took around 1 hr and then we left to visit Nisargadhama which is on the way to Kushalnagar.
Nisargadhama is an island formed by river Kaveri which is covered by lush green bamboo. It took 20 min to reach here. Charges are 10 Rs per individual. You can find some rabbits and deer. So its a good picnic spot which feels very close to nature.
We had lunch at Kushalnagar then we were off to The Golden Temple which is around 25 km from Madikeri. When we got down for a second we thought as if we are in Tibet because you find majority of Tibetians. The Golden Temple was really amazing had three huge temples with bright colors. As we stepped in the Temple, the students were learning Tibetian language in a very huge hall and as the teaching was going on, they played drums and some other instruments. By seeing that it remainded us about ancient Tibetian Institution. After an hour they dispersed and we were allowed to look around the Temple. It consists huge Idols of Buddha, Padmasana Baba and Aviamithabhavi(I hope these are correct). The architecture and the paints were mind-blowing. There were two more Temples which was equally good.
Thus we had covered these places in two days and headed towards our home. We reached bangalore by 8 pm. This ended our spectacular, adventurous and one of the best trip of our life.
